Aplaudir por el Seguro de Cesantía

Cuando Ricardo Lagos era candidato en 1999, prometió el Seguro de Cesantía, el cual funciona en países desarrollados. Sin duda nuestro Seguro no cubriría lo mismo que el de países como Alemania, Finlandia u otros países europeos.

Hoy en día tres y medio millones de Chilenos están cubiertos por el seguro de desempleo(mas de la mitad de la fuerza de trabajo del país). En el año 2004 hubo 400 mil trabajadores que lo usaron. Leí el discurso que dio él, ahora Presidente, Ricardo Lagos en su visita a la planta Nestlé, donde plantea que el echo que 400 mil trabajadores hayan quedado sin empleo no es digno de celebrar, pero si es digno de celebrar que ya no están solos y que el Estado les garantiza protección hasta encontrar un nuevo empleo, ese es un país mas justo. Queda como desafió, luego de este sistema puesto en marcha, acortar el tiempo entre ser despedido de un trabajo y encontrar uno nuevo.

Según el Ministerio del Trabajo el sistema ha funcionado relativamente bien estos años, falta reformar algunos detalles, que ustedes los pueden ver en el discurso. En la web de la Cut no encuentre posición a este tema, solo una declaración sobre desempleo de su presidente Martínez que declara “mientras no lleguemos a una cifra del orden del 4,5%, no podemos cantar victoria como país”

se le entregó la “Propuesta Pública de Acceso al Libro y Fomento de la Lectura” que había sido presentada en La Moneda, en abril del año 2002, y la “Propuesta de Líneas de Proyectos Para Fortalecer el Rol del Libro en Nuestra Sociedad y el Desarrollo de la Industria Nacional del Libro”, presentada al Consejo Nacional del Libro y la Lectura, a CORFO y a Prochile, en mayo del 2003, a las cuales no hay ninguna respuesta concreta.
